Urologist Lee Ponsky, MD, and radiologist Vikas Gulani, MD, PhD, are leading a multidisciplinary effort at UH to more accurately and less invasively diagnose prostate cancer. UH is one just a handful of centers in the country offering in gantry MRI for prostate cancer detection and diagnosis, and is the only center currently offering magnetic resonance fingerprinting of the prostate – a new technology that assigns tissue property values to each pixel in the MRI. This approach promises to revolutionize the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer. Watch to learn more.
